About the self-evaluation form

The interactive self-evaluation form (SEF) is a user-friendly tool where schools can edit, save and submit their SEF's as many times as they wish. It also requires little IT knowledge to complete it and maintain, validate and store the data.

All maintained and some non-maintained schools can use the interactive SEF.

Schools may have already used the EDC system to complete and submit their forms S for an inspection under the previous inspection arrangements. Many of the principles of the EDC system will continue for the SEF. If you have been maintaining forms S1–S4 for self-evaluation or the pilot SEF, where possible, any questions that are replicated on the new SEF will have been populated with information you have already entered.

Access to the data is restricted via the secure password system and any data you enter will remain confidential to your school.
