Summary
Inspections are carried out by inspectors who work for Ofsted and are trained to inspect children's services. Newly registered providers may be inspected within a short period of their registration. After that, inspections are carried out at a minimum of the intervals currently prescribed in regulations ranging from twice a year to once every three years.
