Proposals for a revised framework for the registration, inspection and enforcement of registered early years provision

The Government is publishing a revised Early Years Foundation Stage and accompanying regulations to take effect on 1 September 2012. We must develop new regulatory and inspection arrangements to take account of the revisions.

The consultation paper Regulation of providers on the Early Years Register invites your views on the proposed changes to the regulation and inspection of those on the Early Years Register from September 2012. These views will help us shape the new arrangements.
