Statistics for early years and childcare
Our statistics come from our work in inspection and regulation; they are available on our website. We release each of our official statistics four times a year. For some remit areas there will be a fifth supplementary release to coincide with the publication of the Annual Report.
We are consulting users of our statistics to ensure our products meet their needs. We would be grateful if you could take the time to complete our short survey about the statistics. The survey will be open until the end of June.
Alternatively you can send any feedback directly to inspectioninsight@ofsted.gov.uk
Making the most of Ofsted's data focuses on how we will develop and use official statistics as a basis for improving the way Ofsted works and how we will disseminate the data and statistics we gather through our role as an inspector and regulator.

Our responsibility
The UK Statistics Authority has a code of practice that government departments must follow for their official statistics. The code of practice is available from the UK Statistics Authority website.
We publish a release timetable for our official statistics: Schedule for the release of official statistics. We update the timetable as required.
We publish a revisions policy: Statistical notice: Ofsted revisions policy for official statistics. This sets out the circumstances in which revisions will be made to our official statistics and how these revisions will be handled. We review the revisions policy annually.
