Details

Ofsted inspects the impact, quality, effectiveness and management of welfare and duty of care in Armed Services’ training establishments.

The inspections are commissioned by the Minister of State for the Armed Forces and administered through the Directorate of Training, Education, Skills and Resettlement.

Ofsted’s remit and scope, and the aspects to be inspected, are specified in a memorandum of understanding and associated schedule agreed between the Minister for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans (DPWV) and Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education, Children’s Services and Skills (Ofsted).
