Design and technology subject survey visits

To find out as much as we can about design and technology for learners, we visit up to 60 schools each year on design and technology subject survey visits.

We send each school we visit a feedback letter telling them our judgement on their overall effectiveness in design and technology. The letter also tells the school how they are doing on pupils’ achievement, the quality of teaching, the quality of the curriculum, and leadership and management in design and technology.

You can find our latest feedback letters about design and technology below. We update these every term. Those schools judged outstanding overall at their last inspection are identified with an asterisk (*).
