Darryl Nunn, Director, Finance and Resources
Darryl Nunn joined Ofsted in January 2011. His role as Director, Finance and Resources is to maintain 'business as usual' at Ofsted while reducing the cost of corporate and administrative expenditure. He will make business changes to Ofsted’s regulation and inspection activities that will achieve overall Spending Review reductions year on year.
He says that his main challenge is to deliver this reduction while continuing to offer quality, value-for-money services across Ofsted's education and children's services remit.
Darryl joined from the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency where, having been involved in its relocation from London, he helped support its closure.
Previous work in the brewing industry and publishing, working with brands such as Fosters and Cosmopolitan, have given him an underlying belief that all brands depend on consistent quality. With a keen interest in education and the public sector he believes the Ofsted brand too depends on the quality of delivery of the products that carry its name.
