The report identifies points for action at national, LEA and school levels to improve the management of transfer and the continuity of the curriculum and to prepare pupils for changes in teaching and learning in their new school. The report will be of interest to staff responsible for the management of transfer, LEAs, teachers of Year 6 pupils, heads of subject departments and special educational needs coordinators in secondary schools.
