Children on rights and responsibilities

01 Apr 2007 Ofsted

Ref: 20073007

This 2006 report shows that children and young people in care clearly understand their rights and responsibilities, although these are not always recognised by adults and professionals. They say they want their rights to be recognised, to be treated as individuals, and to be listened to and given a say in decisions about their lives. The report also shows that they view their responsibilities as a way of helping each other.
