Comprehensive Area Assessment - the first year: two independent evaluation reports

Two independent reports evaluating the impact and cost of the first year of Comprehensive Area Assessment will help the inspectorates improve the assessment framework.
The inspectorates, including the Audit Commission, Care Quality Commission, HM Inspectorates of Constabulary, Prisons and Probation, and Ofsted, welcomed the feedback and learning the reports provide.
The reports are on the Audit Commission website, with a detailed response from the inspectorates and a joint press release.
