This report evaluates the Department for Education and Skills' grant scheme for National Voluntary Youth Organisations, which ran from April 2002 to March 2005. The report evaluates the effectiveness of strategies designed to tackle social exclusion and to raise young people's achievement; the quality of practice in youth work and the curriculum; and the contribution made by leadership and management to the standards achieved. It includes case studies and examples of good practice to illustrate the breadth and quality of the work seen.
