Extended schools: a report on early developments

The purpose of this survey was to examine the impact of extended services on pupils' motivation, attendance and behaviour, together with the effectiveness of such services in promoting parental involvement, links with the community and multi-agency working. In the autumn and spring terms 2004/05, Her Majesty's Inspectors visited 17 schools: one special, five secondary and 11 primary.
