Her Majesty's Inspectors (HMI) inspect education, training and physical education (PE) provision in Young Offender Institutions (YOIs) at the invitation of Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Prisons. Ofsted reports on the education and PE provision for young people aged 15-18. Vocational training is inspected by the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI) and this contributes to the final report.
