Improving Inspection, Improving Schools: Draft Framework for the consultation

In March 2002, Ofsted launched a consultation paper setting out proposals for changes to school inspections from 2003. The proposals were under four broad themes: more responsive to the priorities of schools and the policies of government; more supportive of school improvement; better informed about the views of parents, pupils and the wider community; and better co-ordinated with other inspection and monitoring activity. This is the draft framework used in the consultation.
