Resources
A showcase of good practice across providers that Ofsted inspects or regulates
17 Sep 2009
Ref: 090085
Two Making more of music booklets – for primary and secondary schools – are intended as discussion documents for staff who are involved in teaching music in schools. They highlight the aspects of effective teaching and present them in a chart which describes the satisfactory, good and outstanding features seen in Ofsted’s music inspections.
The booklets also feature best practice examples from the 2008/09 academic year and from the Ofsted music report, Making more of music, which was published in February and led to development of these resources.
The booklets are a development of the Making more of music report from February 2009.
