This page has statistics on the inspection of early years and childcare providers in England. Each quarterly release comprises commentary, charts and tables in pdf format, charts and tables in Excel format, and the underlying data in Excel and comma separated values (.csv) format. It begins with the statistics at June 2011. There is an additional release to provide the data which covers the period of the Annual Report 2010/11.

Two files within Early years and childcare registered providers inspections and outcomes - Oct to Dec 2011 - Provisional.zip were amended to correct an error and republished on 25 April 2012. The files are:

Change to June release date

The June 2012 release of official statistics about Early Years inspections and outcomes including actions and recommendations has been delayed from Thursday 7 June to Thursday 21 June. This reflects additional time needed during the production process to fully quality assure the output, analyse the data and summarise the key findings in a way that best meets customer needs.
