This page has statistics on the inspection of early years and childcare providers in England. Each release comprises commentary, charts and tables in pdf format, charts and tables in Excel format, and the underlying data in Excel and comma separated values (.csv) format. The latest release shows inspection data covering 1 September 2012 to 31 December 2012.

This page also has statistics for childcare on non-domestic premises. These figures are not official statistics, they are internal management information published in the interests of transparency.

These figures have not been reconciled centrally with any official statistics. The xls file Childcare on non-domestic providers by academic year is management information on the overall effectiveness and safeguarding outcomes of childcare on non-domestic providers by academic year.
