Ofsted’s sustainable development action plan for 2009-10 constitutes Ofsted’s departmental contribution to the governments overall sustainable development strategy, Securing the Future.

The government’s shared priorities for sustainable development form the foundation of this plan, and, in preparing it, we have followed the guidance set out by the Sustainable Development Commission in Driving Change. Our action plan is reviewed and updated annually, and the current action plan builds on review of the work undertaken and progress made last year through our 2008/9 action plan.
