Art subject survey visits

To find out as much as we can about art for learners, we visit up to 60 schools each year on art subject survey visits.

We send each school we visit a feedback letter telling them our judgement on their overall effectiveness in art. The letter also tells the school how they are doing on pupils’ achievement, the quality of teaching, the quality of the curriculum, and leadership and management in art.

You can find our latest feedback letters about art below. We update these every term. Those schools judged outstanding overall at their last inspection are identified with an asterisk (*).
