An MCSI report on an inspection, between October 2005 and March 2006, into the work of CAFCASS practitioners in private law proceedings. The inspection focused on the quality of practitioners' work with children and families; the experience of service users during proceedings; the organisational accountability for the quality of practitioners' work; and arrangements to develop best practice and compliance with policies and procedures. The report includes both Inspectorate recommendations and CAFCASS's responses.
