Good practice resource – School governance: learning from the best

This report looks at the principles and practices that contribute to outstanding governance in 14 schools and reports what outstanding governing bodies, and the headteachers of the schools they serve, contribute towards their effectiveness. Case studies from each of the schools visited are included to reflect something of the character of the governing bodies and how they have approached aspects of their work.
