Schools judged outstanding in a particular subject

18 Jul 2011 Ofsted

For further information on our survey programme, go to the About our survey reports page.

Each year we visit over 900 schools under our subject survey programme: the schools listed here are those which we have judged to be outstanding for a particular subject. In nearly all cases, a subject survey visit to a school will cover only one subject. The judgement resulting from the visit therefore is related only to the subject we saw and is not intended to convey any judgement about other subjects or aspects of the school, or the performance of the school overall.

The list covers the whole of the calendar year 2010 and we intend to update it on a regular basis.

To find an individual subject survey visit report go to the Find an inspection report page in the Inspection reports section.

Once published, a final overall report from a subject or other survey will be in the Resources section. Go to the Advanced resources search: under the 'Resource type' header choose 'Surveys and good practice' from the expanded list of publications subtypes and then choose a subject from the subject drop-down list.
