Specialist schools: a second evaluation

The Specialist Schools Programme is now an established part of the national system of secondary education, and has grown and developed substantially since Ofsted carried out its first evaluation in 2001. The influence and challenges of the programme continue to be catalysts for accelerated school improvement, and five out of six of the specialist schools visited for this survey are now achieving the aims of the programme.
