We want to make sure that sustainable development is fully reflected in all aspects of Ofsted’s work. We are doing this by integrating sustainable development principles into our strategic planning and performance management frameworks and our core business activities of inspection and regulation.

This document gives an introduction to sustainable development in the national context, sets out Ofsted’s important role in promoting sustainable development and provides guidance on embedding sustainable development in all our inspection guidance, methodologies and frameworks.
